ACLS Skill session for the Heartcode ACLS. Bring your certificate and current AHA BLS card  with you to class.

An ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) skills check-off is the hands-on portion of the ACLS certification process, specifically for those who have completed the online HeartCode ACLS course. It's a practical assessment where candidates demonstrate their proficiency in core ACLS skills like CPR, airway management, and defibrillation. This check-off ensures providers can effectively manage cardiac arrest and other life-threatening situations.

Key Components of the ACLS Skills Check-Off:
  • Hands-on Skills Demonstration:
The session focuses on practical application of ACLS skills using manikins and other equipment.
High-Quality CPR:This includes proper chest compression depth, rate, and technique.
  • Airway Management: Demonstrating proficiency in airway management techniques, such as bag-mask ventilation and advanced airway placement.
  •  Defibrillation:Proper use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) and manual defibrillation, if applicable.
     Team Dynamics:
Evaluating communication and leadership skills during simulated cardiac arrest scenarios.
     Medication Administration:
Knowing the correct dosages and administration of medications used in ACLS.
Megacodes:Managing simulated complex scenarios that involve various ACLS interventions
Bring your certificate with you to class.
